ALLWHITE

Is white a color or just an absence of darkness?

I like how Lola Guerrera infuses whites into daily objects/household goods in her series of photographs 'Cotidianidades'; white in the kind of conditions that I like: raw, artificial, and chalky. She plays well with the thickness of the white covers--white butterflies in sheer white coating; while shoes and bowl are scattered on the floors in rather bulky wrappings. My greatest delight is to see lights filter through the impeccable silk of whites (butterflies, hung dress, foggy curtains), which -i think- what white stands impressively out for.

If you notice there are slightly more space in between the pictures; that's because the photographs are encased in thick white borders. I think that's a lovely addition.
