tea

when you refill a plastic bottle, what used to be there matters

no matter what kind of water you are trying to put inside: drinking water, distilled water, mineral water…no matter how pure it is. when the water reaches the neck of the bottle. when it stops making little whirls inside, stop forming and bursting its own bubbles. the most fragrant of jasmine petals, leaves of green tea, lemongrass, exotic coffee beans, milk will start filling the room, the space now occupied. your water will have a new colour and take shape of the container.

that water no longer a water. an effluvia, a discomfort; a heart.

in any case, smell triggers memories better than anything else.
