Pocketful of Secrets.

I haven't been listening to a lot of trip hop, but Phantogram's sound clicks amazingly well with my musical taste. Funky synth, lazy yet comfortable beat, hazy vocal. One listen, it was just OK. The fifth, it began to linger. Afterward I just couldn't stop playing their single 'Mouthful of Diamonds'. Trippy and haunting, possibly listed on 'songs you subtly bang your head/play air-drums to'.

Besides their music, their lyrics, oh their lyrics. This duo is obviously an expert at excerpts. I could lift any small chunk off the lyrics and it will always result in a beautiful, quotable line. Every part of it. Their brief but pretty descriptions. Who won't fall for them?

"The world is not round because of you, you know i'm not around because of you."
