The japanese are indeed the kings of bizarre and erratic ideas, with effortful execution and meticulous attention to small little details. In result: an uncompromisingly awkward—sometimes otherworldly, sometimes simply appalling—set of videos, music, films, fashion, and literature works. Here are five Japanese music videos and commercials that have got my index finger hooked on the 'replay' button; and maybe yours too, soon.
